The Ibanez Joe Satriani JS1CR Chrome Boy marks the 30-year collaboration between the Japanese guitar forge and the American guitar virtuoso as a strictly limited anniversary model. The shiny Chrome finish conceals a classic alder body in the familiar streamlined design, while the three-piece maple/Bubinga neck with the “JS” profile provides optimum playing characteristics. At the guitar amp, the combination of a DiMarzio Satchur8 Humbucker bridge and a Sustainiac neck promises top-class Clean – and high – Gain sounds, whose sustain reaches to infinity if desired. Besides, the Ibanez Joe Satriani Chrome Boy is Locking Tremolo equipped with precise Gotoh mechanics and the Ibanez Edge Double.

Classic woods and high playing comfort

For the construction of the Ibanez JS1CR Chrome Boy, Joe Satriani wanted a classic wood combination that would guarantee a balanced and powerful sound. Accordingly, the body, wrapped in the glossy Chrom finish, is made of alder, while the classic body has an alder finish. Neckplate screwed neck three pieces of maple and Bubinga are made. The streamlined design nestles comfortably against the body, while the rounded “JS” profile on the 24-flush Palisander fretboard allows any solo or reef to go comfortably out of the hand.

Versatile sounds with DiMarzio pickups and Sustainiac

On the guitar amp, the Ibanez Joe Satriani JS1CR convinces with a broad sound spectrum ranging from first-class Clean sounds too hot leads. Thanks to its Alnico VIII magnet, the sound of the DiMarzio Satchur8 Humbucker bridge is warm and singing and reacts with an expressive attack on the player, presenting expressive riffs and solos. In the neck position the Sustainiac Driver in the deactivated state with a transparent Single Coil sound, while in the activated state it extends the sustain of the played strings indefinitely. The “Normal” mode emphasizes the fundamentals, while “Harmonic” and “Mix” emphasize different overtones.
