The Ibanez AZ2204-SCR Prestige (Scarlet) is a 6-string AZ Series Electric Guitar and the perfect tool for the modern guitarist who is looking for a first-class instrument for the implementation of the most virtuosic playing techniques in the rock, fusion or jazz context. The ergonomically designed Alder body and the screwed S-Tech Wood neck offer unhindered playability, while specially developed Seymour Duncan Hyperion pick-ups with Dyna-MIX9 circuitry provide versatile sounds with lively articulation. The Ibanez AZ2204 also features a high-quality Gotoh T1802 tremolo with titanium string riders and Gotoh H.A.P. locking mechanisms.

For optimal sound conversion, Seymour Duncan administers the pick-ups and circuitry of the Ibanez AZ2204. The 2x Seymour Duncan Hyperion single coils (neck and middle positions) and the Hyperion humbucker (bridge) produce a moderately increased output and a balanced reproduction of all frequencies so that in connection with the lively dynamics expressive Guitar playing is supported. The pick-ups are selected in familiar combinations using the 5-way blade switch, whereby additional options can be called up thanks to the Dyna-MIX9 circuit. After the Alter switch is actioned, not only the serial connection of both single coils is available, but also the simultaneous operation of all pick-ups.
