The EQD Hummingbird V3 is a Repeat Percussion tremolo and as such, a specialist on hard tremolo effects. The Hummingbird uses a sawtooth waveform for modulation, similar to those found in old Valco and Vox amplifiers. It is capable of producing everything from classic 50s style shimmering tremolo to a synthy, delay-like chop that turns your signal into a burst of short pings and on through to near ring modulation speeds. The pedal features three modes, Slow, Mid-Tempo and Fast. If the Depth is turned to zero, the Hummingbird will become a JFET clean boost. An external expression pedal jack greatly increases the possibilities on this pedal. It can be activated in standard latching operation or in momentary operation, by just holding the footswitch down for as long as youd use the effect. The Hummingbird V3 is True Bypass with a silent relay-based switch and is hand made in Ohio, USA.
