\nmore than 40 years, Ibanez has pioneered new frontiers in bass
\ndevelopment, pushing the boundaries of conventional designs to bass
\nplayers of all styles and aptitude new ways of expressing themselves.
\nThis spirit of exploration has led to the creation of some of the most
\nsuccessful and popular production basses of all time. Utilizing
\nexperience and knowledge up until now, Ibanez has developed ultimate
\nergonomic basses, the EHB basses, which feature the deeply considered
\nheadless design.\u00a0 The
\nEHB\u2019s headless construction and specially designed body enable the
\nplayer to maintain a similar playing position whether seated or
\nstanding. Its contoured, ergonomic design and chambered body makes for a
\nlightweight, well-balanced, and comfortable instrument that\u2019s excellent
\nfor long sets or practice sessions. There is extra carving on the back
\nof the body behind the lower horn for easier upper fret access. Also,
\nthe top half of the back of the body is slanted which allows the bass to
\nrest slightly closer to the player\u2019s body for better control and a more
\nergonomic feel. \u00a0 The
\nEHB1506 features a stunning Poplar Burl top and an African Mahogany
\nbody for a warm tone with rich resonance. The 9-piece Panga Panga\/Walnut
\nneck provides superior note attack, tight lows and increased sustain
\nwith the Panga Panga fretboard. Highly durable stainless steel frets
\naccentuate tonal brightness and will not rust. Luminescent side dot
\ninlays provide clear visibility in dark environments and the truss rod
\nadjustment is located at the end of the neck for easy access.\u00a0 The
\nsingle-coil Nordstrand\u2122 Big Split pickups feature split coils with
\nhum-canceling construction for less noise. Its tone character is a
\nhybrid P\/J style and provides a rich and strong, yet well-balanced tone,
\nwhich fits well with various kinds of playing styles. The Vari-mid
\n3-band EQ features a variable mid-frequency control which allows you to
\ndial in an incredibly wide range of sounds. There is also an EQ bypass
\nswitch for passive operation with the treble control acting as a passive
\ntone control when the EQ is bypassed.\u00a0 The
\nMR5HS bridge is designed especially for the EHB basses and features a
\nwide intonation range. Each bridge piece is independently and securely
\nattached to the body for maximum vibration transfer, and the saddles are
\nadjustable for string spacing +\/-1.5mm, answering every bassist\u2019s
\nindividual string spacing demands, no matter what playing style. Teflon
\nwashers are used on each tuner for a smooth tuning action.\u00a0 Schaller
\nS-Lock strap lock pins and a Neutrik locking jack hold the strap and
\ncable securely, and a detachable finger ramp and a gig bag are included
\nwith each instrument.”
